I’ve never really been a fan of gadgets and gimmicks especially when it comes to coaching. The best coaches I’ve worked with are the ones who show up with a bag of balls and a few cones. In fact, Alex Welsh, my coach at Arsenal until 2012, was just as much as my psychologist as he was my coach. So even just a conversation would help me in my development.

However, at Arsenal, I’ve been exposed to an evolving style of coaching and working with new equipment on the market. I’ll be looking at what machines/devices the top clubs use in their goalkeeping sessions and I’ll be offering my opinion on them.
